The alloy 317L is made from low-carbon austenitic steel. The Stainless Steel 317L Pipe/ Tube is made up of a high concentration of chromium, nickel, and molybdenum in its composition. The high concentration of chromium gives this grade extra corrosion resistance compared to the 316 grade. The Stainless Steel 317L Pipe has superior resistance against chloride pitting and crevice corrosion. These pipes have a good density of 8 gm/cm3 and can be elongated by at least 35% due to their excellent mechanical properties.
